Restec Pty Ltd was founded by an operator with hands-on experience in running hospitality venues. From 2023 onward, the founder faced rapidly escalating costs across labour, compliance, energy, and supply chains, placing sustained pressure on the economics of traditional restaurant operations. These challenges highlighted structural inefficiencies that could no longer be solved through incremental changes alone.

 

Seeking to understand whether these issues were isolated or systemic, the founder began discussing them with peers across the hospitality sector. These conversations were followed by targeted market research, confirming that rising front-of-house (FOH) costs were a widespread and growing problem affecting venues of all sizes. The findings pointed to a clear need for scalable, technology-driven solutions to restore operational sustainability.

 

In response, Restec Pty Ltd was established with a clear mission: to develop the next generation of FOH robotics powered by advanced artificial intelligence. Restec aims to significantly reduce operating costs, improve service consistency, and enable hospitality businesses to remain viable in an increasingly challenging environment through practical, deployable automation solutions.
